Museum Introduction

Established in 2010 by avid art collector Kiran Nadar, KNMA is a non-profit institution dedicated to making modern and contemporary art accessible to the public. With two locations (Saket in New Delhi and Sector 126 in Noida), it serves as a critical platform for bridging the gap between art and the community through exhibitions, publications, and educational programs.

General Collections

The museum houses an extensive collection of over 10,000 artworks. This includes significant pieces from the post-independence "Progressive Artists' Group" as well as diverse works by contemporary South Asian artists. The collection spans various media, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, and new media.

Unique Historical Collections

KNMA is home to some of the most iconic masterpieces of Indian modernism, including S.H. Raza’s "Saurashtra", V.S. Gaitonde’s non-objective canvases, and major works by Tyeb Mehta and M.F. Husain. It also features large-scale contemporary installations by artists like Anish Kapoor and Subodh Gupta.
