Founded by Dr. Saju Thuruthil, this center is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Kerala’s traditional mural paintings. It serves as a residential art gallery and academic hub where the ancient "Gurukula" system of learning is integrated with modern research.
The gallery houses a significant collection of Kerala mural paintings, sketches, and studies focused on traditional iconography. It also includes modern interpretations of mural techniques and instructional materials used for academic training.
Permanent Collection of Dr. Saju Thuruthil: Features works by the first Malayali artist to acquire a doctorate in Kerala mural paintings, focusing on the Panchavarna (five-color) natural pigment tradition.
