Established in 1965 and located within the Raj Bhawan (Governor's House) complex, the Government Museum, Mount Abu is dedicated to the preservation of the archaeological and tribal heritage of the Sirohi region. It serves as a key repository for artifacts recovered from the ancient township of Chandravati and the surrounding Aravalli range.
The museum features a significant collection of 404 stone sculptures, ancient inscriptions, and miniature paintings. It also includes an ethnological section displaying traditional tribal costumes, jewelry, musical instruments, and weaponry used by the local hill-dwelling communities.
Chandravati Sculptures: Rare 6th to 12th-century finely carved sculptures of Devadasis (dancers) and deities recovered from the ruins of Chandravati. Brass Inscriptions: A collection of historical inscriptions documenting the socio-political history of the region. Tribal Life Diorama: A specialized 3D display depicting a traditional local tribal village with indigenous huts and handmade ornaments.
