Museum Introduction

Established on April 27, 2015, by GD Gopal to commemorate his father, the industrialist G.D. Naidu, the Gedee Car Museum is located in the GD Museums complex on Avinashi Road, Coimbatore. It is a premier institution showcasing the evolution of automotive engineering through a private collection of over 110 vintage, classic, and performance automobiles from around the world.

General Collections

The museum spans two floors and includes themed galleries featuring cars from Germany, Britain, Japan, France, and America. Recent additions include a dedicated Performance Cars section featuring supercars, Formula 1 cars, and race cars designed and built in Coimbatore, highlighting the city's significant contribution to global motorsport.

Unique Historical Collections

G.D. Naidu Prototype: Rare prototypes designed by G.D. Naidu. Benz Patent Motorwagen: A replica of the world's first automobile. Maharaja’s Classics: Luxurious vehicles once owned by Indian royalty. Technical Exhibits: Exploded views of engines, gearboxes, and suspension systems that allow visitors to see the internal mechanical marvels of iconic cars like the Aston Martin Vantage.
