Established in 1986, Gaurav Sangrahalaya is the official regimental museum of the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles (JAK RIF). It is located within the JAK RIF Regimental Centre in the Jabalpur Cantonment, Madhya Pradesh. The museum serves as a repository for the 200-year-old history of the regiment, which traces its origins back to the Dogra Corps raised by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1821.
The museum showcases an extensive array of war trophies, vintage weaponry, ceremonial flags, and uniforms. The exhibits are curated across several galleries that detail the regiment's evolution from the State Force of Jammu and Kashmir to a premier infantry regiment of the Indian Army, highlighting its role in major conflicts from the 19th-century frontier campaigns to the 1999 Kargil War.
Roll of Honour: A solemn record inscribed with the names of the regiment's martyrs. Maharaja’s Cannon: A massive 930-kg brass cannon dating back to the era of Maharaja Gulab Singh. War Trophies: Includes captured Japanese weapons from World War II and the ejection seat of a Pakistani F-86 Sabre jet from the 1971 war. Original Documents: Rare copies of the Gulabnama (the biography of Gulab Singh) and manuscripts related to the 1841 invasion of Tibet by General Zorawar Singh.
