Museum Introduction
Established to preserve the rich archaeological heritage of the region, the museum is located in a heritage building that previously served as part of the Scindia administration in the princely state of Gwalior. It chronicles the history of Shivpuri from Neolithic times through the Rajput and Maratha periods.

The museum houses a diverse collection of stone sculptures, ancient coins, traditional paintings, and weaponry. It features artifacts recovered from nearby historical sites such as Survaya Ki Garhi, Narwar Fort, and Terahi.

Pratihara Sculptures: A rare and significant collection of 8th–10th century sculptures known for their intricate carvings and refined anatomical details. Freedom Struggle Exhibits: Artifacts and documentation related to the freedom fighter Tatya Tope, who was executed in Shivpuri in 1859.
