The museum was established to preserve the legacy of the Jind State. It is situated in the middle of a scenic pond inside Banasar Bagh and is accessible via a small bridge. The building itself is an architectural marvel with 12 doors (Baradari), showcasing a blend of Mughal and Sikh styles.
The museum houses a diverse collection of 470 artifacts, including royal decorative items, traditional ornaments, and textiles. It is especially noted for its impressive weaponry section that highlights the martial history of Punjab.
Royal Diwan Khana: The museum building itself is a historical artifact, featuring carved marble slabs and four majestic towers. Arms & Armor: An extensive collection of over 300 weapons, including ancient swords, daggers, and suits of armor used by the Jind State royals.
