Established within the historic Someswara Swamy Temple premises, this museum preserves artifacts recovered from the surrounding area. Kolanupaka was a thriving center of Jainism, Shaivism, and Vaishnavism between the 9th and 13th centuries, and the museum acts as a sentinel for this multi-religious heritage.
The collection includes a vast array of stone sculptures, inscriptional slabs, and architectural fragments. Most objects are carved from basalt and granite, representing the masterful craftsmanship of the Chalukya, Kakatiya, and Rashtrakuta dynasties.
Manasthambha (Victory Pillar): A monumental 11th-century pillar commissioned by the Kalyani Chalukya king Tribhuvanamalla. Inscriptional Records: The museum houses rare calligraphy and inscriptions in Old Kannada and Telugu that detail the political and religious grants of the medieval period.
