Established to showcase the legacy of Indian Railways, the museum is located in the dining hall of the iconic terminal building designed by Frederick William Stevens. It traces the journey from the first steam engines to the modern electric network of the Central Railway.
The collection includes archival photographs, vintage railway equipment, brass bells, clocks, and original architectural drawings of the terminal building.
GIPR Archives: Rare documents and photographs documenting the construction of the Bhor Ghat incline and the first railway line in Asia. It also features early 20th-century signalling equipment and luxury dining sets used in "Great Indian" trains.
