Located within the Jat Regimental Centre (JRC) in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, this museum serves as a repository for the glorious history of the Jat Regiment, one of the oldest and most decorated infantry regiments of the Indian Army. The museum documents over 200 years of valor, from the regiment's origins in the late 18th century to its modern-day contributions in independent India.
The museum showcases a vast array of military memorabilia, including vintage uniforms, ceremonial attire, and a massive collection of trophies won by various battalions. It features detailed galleries dedicated to the regiment's participation in World War I, World War II, and post-independence conflicts like the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars.
Features the original Victoria Cross awarded to Jamadar Abdul Hafiz (posthumous) and the George Cross awarded to Havildar Abdul Rehman and L/NK Islamuddin. It also houses rare paintings of iconic soldiers, including those by Sybilla Barrow, and historical artifacts related to the Battle of Dograi, the regiment's most celebrated action.
