Museum Introduction

Founded in 1980 by numismatist Dr. Parmeshwari Lal Gupta and industrialist K.K. Maheshwari, this institute is a premier center for the study of Indian coinage. Located near Anjaneri Hill in Nashik, it houses the Shanti-Krishna Museum of Money & History, which serves as a specialized research hub and public educational space for Indian monetary history.

General Collections

An extensive collection of Indian currency from the 6th century BCE to the present day. This includes punch-marked coins, cast-die coins, and colonial and republic era currency, supplemented by dioramas of ancient minting techniques, photographs, and replicas.

Unique Historical Collections

Features a world-class Photo Cardex system containing over 150,000 documented coin photographs and descriptions, as well as rare fossilized remains from the Jurassic era and Harappan archaeological artifacts used as primitive currency.
