Museum Introduction

Inaugurated on August 1, 2011, by actor Aamir Khan, the museum is spread across 10,000 sq. ft. on the first floor of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission building. It serves as a "biopic-like" journey, transitioning through 8 thematic zones that chronicle Vaswani’s life from his birth in Sindh (1879) to his passing in Pune (1966).

General Collections

The museum does not rely on traditional glass-cased exhibits. Instead, its "collection" consists of 8 immersive walk-through sets, hyper-realistic mannequins, 3D holographic projections, and a sophisticated surround-sound system that guides visitors through the narrative.

Unique Historical Collections

3D Holographic Interactive: Features the largest holographic installation in India where a digital recreation of Sadhu Vaswani "answers" questions from the audience. The Kutiya: A faithful reconstruction of the humble mud hut where he spent his final years, where an oil lamp has remained lit since 1966.
