Established in 1994 by the Armoured Corps Centre and School, Ahmednagar, it was inaugurated by Gen. B.C. Joshi. The museum serves as a chronological record of the evolution of tanks and armored fighting vehicles used by various nations over the last century.
The museum houses approximately 50 vintage tanks and armored vehicles from various countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Japan, and the erstwhile USSR.
World War I Era Tanks: It features the British Mark IV (one of the first tanks ever made) and the French Renault FT-17. It also contains the Silver Ghost Rolls-Royce Armoured Car and Nazi Germany’s Schwerer Panzerspähwagen (8-wheeled armored car).
